4th of July

We had an amazing 4th of July! My Mom, Chloe and Alex came up for a visit. Oh and we cant forget about Papa who insisted on driving himself. He left WF at 5:30 and made it to McKinney safe and sound with Haulsey at 8:30. Friday we cooked out yummy steaks and then the guys/Chloe went to Dave and Busters, while mom, Audrey and I went shopping. Gigi bought Audrey some cute new clothes and a swim suit!

Saturday we went swimming and Audrey fell asleep in Gigi's arms at the pool (she's like that baby whisperer) hehe. Then Saturday night we went to Medieval Times. It was a lot of fun and Audrey even got her first flower (a carnation) from the knight.

I love this 4th of July outfit!! And Kyle's amazing cousin Shanna made this cute bow for Audrey !!

Months 5 and 6

Audrey Faye,

Wow time flies when you're having fun! And we are having so much fun watching you grow! At 5 1/2 months you started sitting up with support and you love looking at the world from your new perspective. Not only do you love to sit up but you love to have mommy and daddy hold you so you can STAND up. Standing is your most favorite thing right now!

You have the cutest laugh and you think daddy is hilarious! You love to bounce in your excersaucer and play with your toys.

You really like watching the dogs and you want so badly for them to play with you, but they still aren't sure just what to think of you, yet.

You have 2 bottom teeth! You have been a pretty good teether and are only fussy some of the time. But teething has messed up your sleeping patterns and you have started waking up in the middle of the night, but we are working hard on getting you back in to your routine.

Carrots were your first solid food and you thought they were delicious! Mommy wants you to be extra healthy, so she has started making your baby food. Next you are going to try sweet potatoes...yummy!

You are sleeping in your big girl crib and mommy and daddy are sleeping in the guest room, until we all get adjusted to this transition...:)

At your 6 month check up you weighed 14.2lbs and were 25 inches long. The nurse practitioner said you must be getting lots of tummy time because you have a beautifully shaped head...hehe....and I have to agree.

We love you so much and are so proud to be your parents!!

Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was wonderful. We went to church, cooked out steaks, corn on the cob and asperagus. It was delicious...my husband is a great griller if I do say so myself :)

Audrey was a great baby, as always.

And Audrey and Kyle gave me a day at the SPA! I cant wait to use it!

Audrey Faye,

We love you so much! You are growing and learning so much every day and you even teach mommy and daddy a few things, like patience. :)

You now weigh 12.6 lbs and are 24 inches long.

You have the best smile with the cutest dimples and the sweetest laugh.

You have discovered your hands and love to put them in your mouth. You have started putting toys in your mouth as well, trying to figure out how things work.

You can hold yourself up so well, so tummy time is more enjoyable for you and love to look at the world from your new perspective. You have really started looking out the car windows, trying to figure out what is going by so fast...."are those trees flying by?"

You sit up so big and tall when you are sitting in our lap, so I am sure it wont be long until you will be able to sit up on your own. You are becoming more mobile, always kicking your legs and moving your arms. You can officially roll from front to back and back to front.

You started on rice cereal this month and you aren't sure just what to think about it. We are on day 3 of attempting to eat cereal and each day you are getting better at eating from a spoon and you are seeming to enjoy it more.

You are talking more and more and love it when mommy and daddy mimic what you say. You love to look in the mirror and make smiley faces at mommy!

We are so proud to be your parents and are so in love with you. We cant even imagine what life was life before you were born, you are our little angel.

Our very first Easter with Audrey was fun. A couple weeks before Easter our neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt and pictures with the Easter bunny. She wasnt really sure what to think about the Easter bunny and all the wind outside, so mommy and Audrey took the picture together.

We had a lazy Easter Sunday after church, just lunch and watching the Ranger game, of course. We cant wait for next year when Audrey will get to hunt for Easter eggs!

Earlier this month Audrey took her first plane ride to Phoenix, AZ to see the Gaskills (Greg, Julia, Bodi and Addlie). Audrey was great on the plane both ways! On the way there she started crying for a split second when we got on the plane, but after we were settled she ate and slept the whole way. People on the plane were so impressed with her.

We had such a blast! I just wish I had been a better photographer. The kids were so cute together! Bodi and Addlie were very interested in what Audrey was doing and she had fun listening and watching them. Julia and I had fun too....we took a few hours on Friday and went and had lunch with Kelly Crenshaw at Oregeno's. Which was delicious and if you havent ever had one...you must try a Pizzuki....YUMMY!!

We were so sad to go and wish our visit could have been longer. We miss you and love you and cant wait to see you again!

Over Spring Break my Little sister Chloe came to spend the week with us while our mom had back surgery. Chloe was great! She has really matured since she spent a month with us last summer. She was such a big help with Audrey. We had so much fun while she was here and cant wait to come visit again. We went shopping, made a red velvet "big cup cake". Chloe went to a hibachi grill for the first time and tried sushi and edamame. She loved the edamame but the sushi with eel and some funky sauce was not to her liking.

3 months

Audrey,

I cant believe you are 3 months already! You are soooo much fun! I enjoy every moment we spend together. I know I have said this before, but you are the BEST baby.

You love to lay on your tummy time mat (as long as its not on your tummy). You like to lay on your back so you can play with your toys. You You are starting to reach and grasp things. You like to feel new textures and get really excited when you make noise with your toys.

You have the most beautiful smile and such an adorable laugh.

You have really started cooing and talking more. You even try a little Spanish and can roll your "r's" quite well. Your favorite things to say are "grrrr", "greee", and we cant forget about "oh yeah"

You love to watch TV, in fact anytime you are upset and mommy isn't there, the TV always catches your eye and distracts you. You really like your baby Einstein videos and you love the singing on American Idol.

We love you so much Audrey Faye and we are so excited to see what you will be learning with in the next month.

For a few Sundays we have been checking out First Baptist of McKinney. We really like it and so far Miss Audrey has been sleeping during the services. But this Sunday she was awake the whole time and she did great! She tried talking with the preacher a few times and loved listening to the music. She wore this cute little dress, so we had to get a sweet picture.

Do your kids have an outfit or two that every time she wears it.....it NEVER fails she always has a blow-out in it?? Well this is one outfit that Audrey has never worn a full day, because ever time she does it's a mess of explosion. I love this cute little peace outfit that my sweet cousin and his wife got her for Christmas.

At least I know what to put on her if she gets constipated................haha :)

A few weeks before Audrey was born April and Cody came to visit and of course April and I went shopping. One of our favorite songs is "I love Rock N Roll" so of course when we saw this outfit, April said Audrey had to have it! The pants are a little big for Audrey but she can were the shirt as a short little dress.

So since her "dress" is a little short, it gave her an opportunity to wear these cute little bloomers Aunt Kristi gave her. This is much cuter than her diaper :)Thank you April for her outfit and Aunt Kristi for her bloomers. She looks adorable!

2 Months

Audrey,

This past weekend you turned 2 months old, where has the time gone! You are really getting to a fun stage....

You love to have girl talk with mommy and coo lots. You have the most beautiful smile with the cutest little dimples (that you get from mommy). You are starting to giggle and we think it's the best sound in the world. Instead of crying you grunt a lot, which is really a funny sound coming from such a little girl.

Today you had your 2 month appointment and I was really worried about it because you got shots and I wasnt sure how either one of us would do. But we did great! You only cried for a minute and Mommy didnt cry at all! Yea for us!

You weigh 9.15 lbs and are 22.3 inches long. Dr. Weiser was very glad to hear that you are sleeping almost 8 hours a night and she said you are doing great. You were even showing her how well you can hold up your head and how you try to sit up with help.

I just cant believe I am writing about you being 2 months old. Every day I love to watch you learn and grow ...please just dont grow up to fast.

So I am trying to get caught up on my blogging......

Audrey is 2 months this week and I want to start "fresh" so I can blog about all of the fun things she is doing.

Also if anyone can help me fix my blog, please give me some pointers.... Her picture is huge and I cant figure out how to make it smaller and I would like to put little bios about each of us on the side, but I do not know how to do that either.

First month

Audrey,

The first month you were home was a transition for mommy and daddy, but not a big one because you are a wonderful baby. From the day you were born you have been alert, just soaking up your surroundings. You only cry when you are hungry or dirty and are really enjoying life outside the womb. And you were waking up to eat every 2-3 hours, which was a bit of an adjustment.

You dont really know what to think about tummy time and arent sure if you like it, however, you have rolled over once at Mimi and Papa's house.

Daddy gave you your first few baths at home because mommy was afraid of "slippery when wet" babies :) You didnt like baths at first but have grown to love them, especially when we sing to you.

You have already had your first outing and celebrated your first New Years Eve with Mommy, Daddy, Aunt

Kristi, Uncle Wade, Cousin Karleigh and daddy's friends Rick and Kevin. We went to eat at The Cheese Cake Factory and then to Dave and Busters. I am sure people were looking at mommy like "why does she have this tiny baby out at midnight" but you did wonderfully...and so did mommy who was a little nervous about having you out so soon.

Mommy and Daddy are so in love with you. We love watching you grow and learn new things every day. You are such a blessing!

Audrey is almost 8 weeks old and I am finally getting around to blogging about her birth. Thank goodness for facebook...haha

Audrey was born December 19, 2010 at 8:16pm at Baylor Medical Center in Frisco. She weighed 6.6lbs and was 18 inches long. She had and still has a head full of hair. When she is in the sunlight you can see shades of blonde and red...I think we might have a future strawberry blonde on our hands. She still has blue eyes and they look just like my papa's eyes. I hope her they stay blue. Most people say she looks just like her daddy... Kyle's grandma says babies look like their dads when they are first born, so that the dad's know that the baby is his. Haha

From the moment she was born she has been so alert, just looking around and soaking in her new world. She is such an amazing baby and we have been truly blessed with her.

Its getting closer and closer to the day of our little girls arrival and I am so excited!

Her room is basically ready and we just have a few more things to purchase....its wild to think I will be bringing miss Audrey Faye home in just a few weeks :)

Speaking of home.......did you know we moved! Kyle got a job promotion to the HealthSouth in Plano and we purchased a Home in McKinney. I hope to take some pics and post soon. I really like the area we are in.....15 minutes to the Allen Outlet Mall and 10 minutes to Stonebriar Mall....woo hoo, some good shopping.

I was hoping to post some maternity picturs and pictures of Audrey's nursery, but my computer down, so I am using Kyles computer.

Big News at the Toby House!!

Hello all my blogger friends!

Kyle and I have some very exciting news!! We are having a baby GIRL!!! As I am sure most of you know from my facebook status but with school finally winding down and BABY news I figured it was definitely time to start blogging again.

I am 18 weeks as of yesterday and we are due with our baby girl Audrey Faye Toby on December 25, 2010. (I foresee meltdowns about her birthday/Christmas in the future).

I have had a great pregnancy so far except for about 4-6 weeks of nausea in the beginning. Oh and thank you hormones for the facial impairments otherwise known as acne.

I don't have any prego pictures of me uploaded, but here are a few pictures of Audrey, we had a 3D sonogram done and you can see so many of her features...We think she has my nose and Kyle's lips... haha

Hello to all of my long lost blogger friends! I have been a very bad blogger and will probably continue to be for a while.

There have been quite a few changes in the Toby house...

1. I am not longer working for Lewis Operating (boo I miss them), I am now working for Helen Farabee as a Child/Adolescent case manager....nothing like getting experience for your degree. I am really liking it and all of the people I work with!

2. I do have really cute Halloween pictures of the dogs in their costumes, but I havent uploaded pictures yet....so just imagine Lexi as a ladybug and Lily as a bumble bee....soooo cute.

3. With my new job, I never get to talk to my friends anymore and I really miss them!!

4. Kyle re-tiled our bathroom and did a really good job (again pics have not been uploaded)

5. I have finally been approved to start my research (which I should really be doing right now)...so hopefully I will be a better blogger when school is out.

6. Kyle and I are getting hard wood floors put in our living room and office (thanks to Lexi for tearing up the carpet) but it will look good and we are really excited.

Sorry for the short non pictured updates....wish me luck with research....I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel...

FallsFest and Lily's new dress

Hello to all!! I know its been a while, but its been a busy week or two. Lets see, what have we been doing. I have been really busy at work and when I am not working at work, I am working on my research paper or FallsFest!

That's right! FallsFest is THIS weekend! Everyone come out Friday and Saturday. We have great food, games, music and fun for all. Friday 5-11 and Brazos Stone and Ely Young will be playing and Saturday 11-11, that night Miyagi and 38 Special will be on the stage. Tickets are $6 in advance, $8 at the gate, $10 after 7 and there are 2 day arm bands this year for $10.

If you cant tell I am the publicist this year.

School is moving right along, hopefully I will get to start actually doing research in late Oct or Nov. My Goal is to be finished and ready to do my oral exam by January. Graduation is right around the corner and once I get past research, I will finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Lily and Lexie are still as cute as ever! Lexie has been a stinker though and has torn up our carpet in 2 different areas, so now we have to have 3 rooms replace....booo....bad dog!!

Lily is my fat girl now 7 1/2 lbs, so much for a small yorkie. OH well...

We were at Target last week, and Kyle knows how I love to put Lily in dresses. He wont admit it but he actually picked one out for her. (picture below)

When we got home, I put it on her and I immediately said "ah Kyle, look at her, does it make her butt look big?" I thought he was never going to quit laughing. Sometimes the random blonde thoughts in my head, actually sneak out and they are usually a good laugh....haha.

I just want to note that I have been a good blogger today...2 in one day...be proud Kate...be very proud :)

Among with my birthday celebrations this past weekend, we went to the Cowboy Game. Kyle kept telling people it was my bday present, but I started to correct him and tell people it was his early birthday present...hehe

The Stadium was amazing. It looked very futuristic, almost like a space ship from the outside. This place was huge!!! Josh Helmcamp was so excited to go to the game and tail gate, that we were the 4th car in the parking lot at 2pm for tail gating....btw the game started at 7 pm.

But we had a blast!

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to ME...hehe! My birthday was last Thursday August 27th. Overall it was a pretty good day. My husband took the whole day off, but I only took 1/2. I felt like I had so many errands to run because we were going out of town that Friday (see next post for the Cowboy game) so I really didnt get to relax and I had class...boo! No one wants to have class on their birthday. But after class my birthday started to get better. We all went to dinner at Salt and Pepper! It was DELICIOUS! I really must start eating there more often. I had the lamb, some had pork, chicken, steak and Amy had this salmon salad that looked so yummy. I must try it next time I go. Thank you to my wonderful husband and all of my fabulous friends who came to help me celebrate my 27th birthday!

So my sweet little Lily's bangs are flopping down in to her eyes, so to remedy this problem (that really irritates my husband more than me or the dog). I bought Lily some hair clips. She has all different colors & in the picture below, you can see her posing in her green hair bow. Her ears are starting to stand more ( I really like them floppy), but she can only do one at a time.

Lily is now 6 months old and we are expecting her first heat anytime. Last night she started spotting a little...which gave me an opportunity to try her new diapers. They are pink and white plaid and polka dot. I mean if she has to wear them, why not look cute right?

Okay Okay, I know, I know...I had very good intentions of posting last week, but I have been so busy with Falls Fest and work that I am just now getting to it. But you get two posts in one day...Yippee!

As some of you may or may not know, I love to paint! But usually I am painting a room and not on a canvas. I don't know what it is about painting, but I find it very relaxing. When I was little I used to do paint by numbers and things like that. But it has been a really long time since I have painted anything.

I was at Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago buying a present for Chloe and I came across "Paint your own masterpiece", so I thought I would try it. It came with all of the paints, a printed 11x14 canvas, a tray for you to mix your paints and directions on how to do it, AND it was only $7.99. So I spent that Friday night painting for 5 hours straight. It went by so fast and before I knew it, it was 1:30 in the morning! This was a really big stress relief for me. I just hope my next painting is as good as this one :)

My husband is so cute! He is so proud and has wanted to show off my painting! We even bought a frame and hung it in the living room.

7 Things about Me!!

1. I like to be in the know! Especially if it involves me doing something, being somewhere..etc...
I tend to get very anxious if I am not in the know.

2. I LOVE Shoes...some might call me a shoe freak...but its a passion

3. I love to be social, sitting around doing nothing can be really boring to me

4. I am an organizer and tend to be pretty type A when it comes my school or work

5. My new favorite ice cream is Red Velvet cake at Maggie Moos...You must try it with white chocolate chips in it...yum

6. I love to dance! Anytime there is music playing I am dancing to it.

7. I am a very lucky and blessed woman to have such an amazing husband, friends and family!

Summer's River Walk Extravaganza!!

This past weekend was one of my very BEST friends Summer's bachelorette party! Haley and Kristen did an amazing job planning everything! It was in San Antonio on the River Walk. We stayed at an amazing hotel called the Hotel Contessa. I highly recommend it! It was upscale but not to pricey. Friday night there were just 5 of us and we went to a great seafood restaurant. The portions were so big that we all shared our food.... Haley ordered Oysters! Paige and I decided to be brave and try one of these slimy snot looking aphrodisiacs.... She fixed them up for us on a cracker with horseradish and cocktail sauce. It wasn't horrible, but Paige was definitely more of a fan of the oyster than I was...ewww. Then we went off to a quaint little martini bar.

Saturday was full of shopping at Forever 21 and laying out by the pool, only to be followed by some fun Bacheloerette games and an amazing dinner at this place called Paesano's! Delicious! Then we went to a place called Mad Dogs. Summer loves rap and this place played any rap song you could think of! They even busted out some ol'e school Snoop Dog! It was lots of fun dancing, we definately had our boogie shoes on!

It was so fun and sooo nice to have some time with just the girls! I think we all had an amazing time! Thank you to all the lovely ladies (Summer, Haley, Kristen, Liz, Paige, Lana, Staci, Kimberly and Jessica) who made this such a special time for Summer. I truly enjoyed seeing and haning out with you all again! We need to have a girls trip at least once a year!

Let's Play Catch Up

So, I have been way behind on blogging. I had every intention to blog on Monday after Chloe left, but it has been a busy week and I have been kinda sick. We had a wonderful time with Chloe here. She had one big meltdown and one 1/2 meltdown, but we expected it. Everyday I looked forward to seeing her smiling face when I picked her up from day care. I hope she had fun while she was here. We went to Chuck E Cheese on Friday night (Oh Skeeball, how I do love you)!! I must say it is one of my favorite past times...Saturday,we saw UP and got a mani/pedi :) I must say, I am loving my pink toes. I dont have any pictures from our mani/pedi, but below are pictures from C.E.Cheese. I think we all had a good time....what do you think??

I am so excited that Chloe is here. It has definitely been an eventful week thus far. Monday Chloe went swimming at the downtown YMCA, then she and Kyle planted flowers while I was in class. Kyle said she did a great job and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Then we watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua; it was so cute and funny; any young girl or the girl who's young at heart will enjoy that movie.

Tuesday she had another swim day and then Papa came over for dinner. After Papa left we had our first semi-meltdown about taking a shower. But she finally did and felt so much better afterwards. So then, I said how about we do massages! She was very excited about picking out her favorite lotion getting to get her massage first. I have to admit, I had alterior motives about the massages, I was hoping she would lay down and fall asleep as I rubbed her arms/hands/feet/legs. Success!!! Lexie even laid down beside her for a short siesta.

Wednesday, Chloe went to the park for part of the day. Okay YMCA...in case you hadnt noticed Wichita Falls is in a HEAT WAVE. Its 108 outside and you take these kids to the park! Well that caused poor Chloe's allergies to get worse and it totally drained her. She was wonderful and truly enjoyed going to class at MSU with me. She got to play in the sand tray and paint pictures on an easel and make glitter pictures. She made one for me and Kyle both that said "I Love You" Love Chloe. I will try and post pictures of her art work later.

Okay I really should be reading for school tonight, one chapter down and one chapter to go...but I thought I would join the band wagon and do a mutt Monday combination blog. Lily got a new dress yesterday and my little sister Chloe is here for a week! She is 7 going on 17. It will be a fun, crazy, exciting adventure this week. She and Kyle are going to plant flowers tonight while I am in class and for the rest of the week our agenda includes: Chucky Cheese, the Water Park, and a movie!

4th of July

Hello Everyone!

I know this is a few days late, but I am just know finding the time to do it. We had a great 4th of July weekend! The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. I love watching the fireworks and getting to hang out with great friends while celebrating our freedom. It is definitely something to be thankful for.

It was a pretty relaxing holiday full of laying out/swimming for me and golf for Kyle. We went to the MPEC to watch the bands and fireworks only to get rained out....boo. So I didn't get to see any live fireworks this year, but I did watch the Boston fireworks on T.V. and it was a spectacular show. I was able to snap a few 4th of July pictures before it started raining. I think Tanya and I were the only ones excited about our pictures...but oh well. :)

My Papa and Mema

Isn’t it funny how there are some people we think are going to live forever. Like the most important people in our lives, the ones who have always taken care of us and we cant imagine what life would be like with out them. That’s how I feel about my Papa. He is doing very well for his ripe old age of 82 or 83 (I can’t remember). But my friend Sara’s grandpa isn’t doing so well and he is the same age as my Papa. I think what is hard for me to grasp is, a few weeks ago Sara’s grandpa seemed to be doing fine and then all of the sudden its all down hill for him. And I can’t help but wonder if that is what is going to happen to my Papa. I hope I can handle it….
I start to think about what life would be like with out him and what a father he has been to me and ….as crazy as this sounds every day I try to prepare myself a little bit for his passing. I know I am going to be devastated, even though I know he will be with my Mema in heaven watching over me and being my guardian angel. But it’s hard to think that one day I won’t be able to see him or talk to him or hug him or call and get his opinion on something.

My Papa is the most amazing man I have ever had the privilege of knowing and he and my Mema have been my saving grace and my heros’. If it weren’t for them, I would not be the woman I am today. So I guess this is a thank you to him and for all he has done. Please everyone go hug or call that special person that has made an impact on your life and tell them how much they mean to you.

I really am trying to get better about blogging, but now that we have our house up for sale...I kinda want that to be the highlight of my blog for a while. I did edit the home for sale blog with a new picture of the living room.

But enough about the house....I really wanted to blog about Lily today. She is such a stinker and definitely getting spoiled! She is practically potty trained and is scratching on the door to let us know when she needs to go out...YEA! She hasn't had any accidents in about 2 weeks. Although, sometimes I think she wants to go outside just to chase bugs or to just lounge around in the grass. I think I have started a bad habit with her, which has now turned in to a possible forever thing. As a treat, when she would wake up in the middle of the night to go potty, I would put her back in bed with us. However, now she thinks that is where she needs to sleep. Last night was her first full night to sleep in bed with us and that was the first night since we have had her that I got to sleep all night!!! I hope WE (Kyle included b/c he has wanted her to sleep with us for a while) stay strong and don't allow our children to sleep in the bed with us.....until then, I will be enjoying my full nights of sleep and enjoying my well rested days....she's only a puppy right :)

This blog is dedicated to my friend Tanya (love her)!! She sent me an email this morning saying I needed to blog and that I have not been a very good blogger this week....So here goes :)

Tanya and I still need to get together and meet each others new puppies....right Tanya!! :) And I am thinking The Gillen's, Paschall's and Toby's should all go on a triple date next weekend!

Do you ever have those weeks where you are constantly one day ahead of yourself? Like all day long yesterday I thought it was Wednesday... but the good thing about realizing that I actually have an extra day this week, is that I now have one extra day to clean my house before my in-laws get here. They are coming in to celebrate Fathers Day with the whole family...(well minus Wade, Kristin, and Karleigh....we will miss you guys this weekend).

We have been trying to exercise more and eat healthier...yea us! I love cooking those Kraft meals. They are so easy, quick and pretty healthy to make! If you haven't ever been to their website, you should check it out http://www.kraftfoods.com/. I receive the quarterly magazines and Kyle just loves the recipes. We ordered P90X last weekend and I CANT wait to try it! I hope it gets me into shape before Summer's wedding! I'll keep y'all updated on my progress as soon as we get it in.

Okay I guess that is a pretty good update on this week....my puppies are still as cute and awry as ever...maybe Ill have new pics of Baya and Lily to post next time!

Oh one more thing.....everyday I try to find one different thing to be thankful for and I try to find God's blessings in everyday. This morning at 3 AM when I had to take Lily out to go potty, I was able to wake up from my grogginess to see God's beautiful and wondrous night sky. The stars were AMAZING, they seemed to go on for miles and they all seemed to twinkle and sparkle more than usual. There was a slight breeze blowing and I just stood there for a minute thanking him for his marvelous creation! I hope each of you find something different to be thankful for everyday....his blessings are all around us!

The Weekend

We had a great weekend! Well I did anyway....poor Kyle he had to work all weekend, so he really didn't get to enjoy much of it. I however, still have a slight sunburn from going to the water park with April, Cody and Ashton Saturday. Then Saturday night we went to Tanya's moms house for her brothers graduation party! I cant believe Sean graduated from high school this year. It seems like just yesterday he was about to go to high school....Man we are getting old....And I babysat Ashton while Cody and April had a soccer game. He says the funniest things....we were at the grocery store and out of no where he says "aunt Head'er" I need some diamonds and I said "oh really for who" he says....for my Momma! Ummm I think he loves his momma! Kids say the funniest things....they can always put the biggest smile on your face. Maybe Kyle and I will have some of our own in a year or two :)

I did take some pictures and video this weekend of my playful girls Lexie and Lily. They are so funny. Lily just antagonizes Lexie, she will run and jump at her and then run in the kitchen (underneath the table is her safe place). I am very impressed with Lexie the way she plays with Lily and she tries to be so gentle. Lily definitely has "little woman" syndrome and does not realize that she is so much smaller than Lexie.

We took Lily on her first walk last night! She did so well! As long as she could see and try to be near Lexie she happily walked along and didn't give me much trouble with her leash. I did have to carry her for a portion of it and I am sure all the cars driving by were laughing...but oh well.

She would get really scared when cars would drive by and just stop walking. But it was really cute to see her prance around on her leash.

On a side note, I think in my next blog, I will have figured out how to write and then have the pictures follow.

Back to Reality

So the wedding is over, the honeymoon was great! NOW....back to reality. Or, so that is where I need to be anyway. But I just cant seem to get motivated. I need to work out, start on this digital scrapbook (I didn't know I was supposed to do....but it looks like it will be fun to make), Falls Fest stuff, plus a ton of other little errands I need to run. But, actual work just seems to get in the way; I just want to go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather we have been having or maybe just take a nap :) The only thing I have been motivated to do is practice my cooking skills by making new meals. The have all been extremely delicious (last night was enchilada casserole)....now if I could just get motivated to work out....hmmm...I think I will start tonight :) maybe.....I should really just stay awake after I take Lily out at 6 every morning and go for a run. But crawling back into bed and cuddling with my husband for another hour just sounds so much better.

Lily has been better about letting me know when she needs to go potty and I think she is really starting to know her name. Yea for Lily! I am hoping Lily and I will get to go meet Baya tonight. Baya is Tanya ans Scooters new puppy and I just keep hearing how cute she is, so I must go see her. Maybe Ill have pictures to post tomorrow...

Now back to Falls Fest stuff, before I get actual work to do at work :)

A middle name

So I have been trying to decide what I want Lily's middle name to be. Call me crazy, but any dog that I have ever had, has always had a middle name. Kyle even gave Lexi a middle name. Her name is Lexi Lou. So, my rhyming of a husband wanted Lily's name to be Lily Sue.....he is so silly, isn't he :) He just makes me smile! But I really didn't like Lily Sue. So I think I have decided on Lily Isabell Toby. That is what her APR registration papers will say, but we will call her Lily. You would think she was my child. I have been wanting to start a blog spot for a while...but I don't really know where to start or what to say. So here goes......

I am officially Heather Toby! We had beautiful wedding on May 16th and married life couldn't be better. The honeymoon in Jamaica was amazing, I highly recommend Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica. We were mostly just beach bums, but had a wonderful time just laying around and playing in the ocean. After returning to the states Kyle fulfilled his wedding gift promise and we purchased a little Yorkshire Terrier. Here name is Lily! She is so adorable and has so much personality. She LOVES our other dog Lexi (she is a lab-retriever).
